Today we will be taking the Period 1 Test
For this weekend:
**For this unit you will be putting together a Unit Cornell Note Packet. On your Cornell Note sheet put the title "Period 2: Organization and Reorganization of Human Societies, c. 600 BCE to c.600 CE". This title will go on the first page of your Cornell notes. Under the "Topic/Objective" section of your Cornell Note sheet you will put the assignment. for example, for this weekends notes you will write "Get A Five Video Notes". Make sure to keep track of these notes so that you do not loose any pieces!

REMINDER: THE MAPS ARE DUE TOMORROW!!
We will be continuing to work on the Map Project and learning targets. NEW TEST DATE!!!! Friday 9/16 Today we will be taking our second quiz for Period 1.
After the quiz:
Today we will be working on a Learning Target exploration. With your groups you will assigned a learning target which you will create a handout for to share with the class.
When you are done with your handout, copy and paste your work on the share class google doc. Today we went through the quiz and talked about cornell notes.
Due Monday: Get a five videos. Quiz: Tuesday Learning Target: Analyze Hammurabi’s code and the Oracle Bones to make connections to A.P. World Themes

We then discussed the Learning Targets for this unit. Reminder: You DO NOT have to answer the learning targets for THIS UNIT, but if you do answer them you can use them on quizzes. Notes must be hand written. Our last activity was analyzing Hammurabi's codes using the A.P. World Themes. After reading the code, complete the graphic organizer to make connections to the themes. Today we will be taking our reading quiz
For tonight: Watch: Take Cornell Notes while watching ONLY DO THE NOTE SECTION!!! Learning Target: Examine a piece of evidence using Historical Thinking Skills and create a scenario based on multiple criteria
Today we had 15 minutes to work on either the notecard or the reading. We then finished up the fairy tale activity--We will be presenting tomorrow. Due Friday 9/2: Annotated reading (or Cornell notes) for Chapter 1 and 2 Due Tuesday 9/6: Notecard Tuesday 9/6: Quiz on Chapter 1 and 2. This will be a timed quiz so make sure you have done your reading. |
